Obsession

One has to wonder just what leads potential adoptive couples to fight so hard to keep a child they're not entitled to keep.  Usually, by the time a case makes national headlines - if it makes headlines at all - it's years after the fact and a ruling comes down that may or may not go against the status quo.  By the time most people heard about Veronica Brown, she was two years old and being transferred to the custody of her father.  By the time most learned of Terry Achane, it was when a judge ordered his daughter's immediate return to his custody.  By the time the world learned about Sonya, she was a nine year old little girl who'd just learned that her foster parents were not her biological parents and she was abruptly being transferred to the physical custody of her father.

Obsession is a strong word.  When most hear it, they probably picture those who are obsessed with a particular celebrity or perhaps even a film/television franchise.  The last thing people picture when hearing the word obsession is that of foster parents or potential adoptive parents fighting for the right to claim a child as their own and the lengths they (and their supporters) go to gain public approval and sympathy.  In most cases, it's usually potential adoptive parents fighting to adopt a child that is not technically available for adoption.  The Capobiancos are the best example of obsession when it comes to private adoption.  They fought Veronica Brown's Daddy for four years and even though they'd not had custody of her the last 2 yrs of her 4 yr life, a court forced adoption onto her and demanded her father turn her over.

Her case, which is now publicly known as Adoptive Couple v. Baby Girl, opened the floodgates for other potential adopters to try and circumvent the federal law that was put in place to protect Native American children.  There are two cases currently happening in which foster parents are trying to use the "existing Indian family" argument to win against biological family.  Remember, the United State Supreme Court ruled that since there'd been no "existing Indian family" to break up, ICWA did not apply to Dusten and his daughter.  This is what obsession accomplished.  It destroyed a little girl and her family.  It allowed two entitled strangers to fight a father for four years and take his daughter away from him.  It gave an opening for other entitled wanna be parents to fight for the right to raise a child they shouldn't have any rights to.

Another clear cut case of obsession is the battle over Sonya McCaul, the now 10 yr old little girl who has been part of a 9 yr tug of war between her former foster parents, Dave and Kim Hodgin, and her family.  This tug of war is spanning between two states and a lot of red tape, but the law is pretty clear on the matter and that is: her family has more rights than the failed foster parents.  This case is honestly a bit of a mess, most of it created by the foster parents themselves.  There are legitimate questions about how they came to acquire Sonya and then the 8 yr battle to try and hold onto possession of her.  I'm sure eventually those questions will be answered and some heads will roll.  Either the Hodgin's or whomever in DCS allowed them to push this for as long and as hard as they did.

Sonya has been with her father and family now for nearly a year.  She has spoken through her GAL on several occasions, stating that she wants to remain with her father and family.  The Hodgins and their supporters have been crying foul, claiming she's been brainwashed, claiming the GAL is incompetent, etc.  They're not hearing what they want to hear and that has them furious as hell.  They want the public to believe she's miserable, wallowing in dire poverty, waiting and wishing for her "loving parents" to come and rescue her.  It has made them absolutely enraged that the opposite has been reported time and time again.

Dave and Kim Hodgin have made it clear they will never stop trying to reclaim her.  Their obsession over another man's child is troubling.  So much like the Capobiancos and their quest to kidnap Veronica.  The only difference at this point is that Tennessee DCS holds the cards on actual custody and the power to determine where she is placed.  As long as DCS says she stays with Dad, she stays with Dad no matter what.  The two judges who've been involved with this cluster-fudge of a case have made it clear that DCS controls placement of the child and she's not moving any time soon.  They've thrown out several petitions the Hodgins have filed in an effort to try to terminate McCaul's parental rights and forcefully adopt Sonya.  The judge handling the TPR/adoption petitions has said that he will no longer entertain the petitions or litigate the TPR/adoption matter.

And yet the Hodgins carry on, refusing to believe their eyes and ears.  The courts have made it clear she will never go back to them.  The child herself has spoken through her court appointed representatives and has stated she never wants to go back to them.  But they continue on, convinced they can drag the child back kicking and screaming if they must.  Their supporters spread lies and misinformation about the case.  Some even suggest criminal acts to get the child back.  They hold onto the Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA) as proof DCS violated federal laws in regards to permanency, failing to acknowledge the finer print that gives exemptions to the act.  One of those exemptions is when the goal of reunification stays in place.  If reunification is on the table, the 15/22 month rule that allows states to TPR parents does not apply.

I do question the competency of DCS in the beginning.  One can only speculate as to why the child wasn't returned to Nebraska when it was discovered she was not a resident of Tennessee or when it was discovered there was an existing Nebraska custody order that gave her Dad custody.  But one thing is certain, the Hodgins knew she was not available for adoption and yet pushed to try and adopt her anyway.  They and their supporters continuous try to push ASFA as a way to justify why she should have been adopted.  They attempted to adopt her several times, only succeeding in the adoption briefly before it was vacated.  Every other time, a judge threw the petition out.  It's also been discovered that they attempted to adopt her a mere few months after DCS originally placed her with them, violating the contract they signed as foster parents.  I think that original action alone showed they had zero interest in being a legitimate foster home.  I won't say what my beliefs are in how this started and how they got her, only because it is merely speculation, but one thing is certain.....something smelled fishy as hell in the beginning and the smell was (and still is) coming from the Hodgins and their circle.

It's quite obvious they have allowed their obsession to cloud their judgment and the reality of the situation.  They did every dirty trick in the book to maintain possession of her in an attempt to claim "only home she's ever known".  They lied to her about who she was (she believed she was their biological child up until about two years ago), then lied to her about her family, saying the family abandoned her and didn't want her while fighting her family behind her back.  They filed motion after motion in the courts to tie things up and allow more time to pass.  Thwarted any and all efforts to introduce her back to her family.  So obsessed with claiming Sonya as theirs, they now ignore the what the child wants herself and that is to remain with her father and family.

I will admit, it boggles the mind that they have continued this crusade when there is so much stacked against them, both legally and even at a moral level.  Nearly everyone involved has made it plainly clear to them that they've brought this onto themselves and they will never EVER have the child back in their home again.  So why continue?  DCS won't give her to them and so far, no judge will even consider giving her to them.  Has their obsession shifted to something darker?  A if we can't have her, nobody can have her line of thinking?  It certainly appears that way.  Determined now to simply destroy the family by any means necessary because Sonya's Dad refused to roll over.

I should remind readers that Jessica Munday and Trio Solutions are still encouraging this battle.  Their presence is not as obvious as it once was, but mostly because I think they realize they will not win this like they did with Veronica.  Veronica's Dad caved when his state courts refused to stand up to the corrupt South Carolina courts.  Sonya's Dad isn't backing down and isn't giving up.  And he has the backing of dependency laws and DCS.

I really cannot compare the two cases, but it's difficult not to seeing that many of the key supporters of the Capobiancos are now supporters of the Hodgins and rather hard to overlook the connections when the same public relations firm that represented Veronica's kidnappers is also involved.  And also keep in mind that some of Melanie Capobianco's family and even Melanie herself have gotten involved in some way or another.  Supports have boasted that they won with Veronica and ICWA so Sonya's case was a shoe in.  There are some key differences with the two cases though, very distinct differences that really make the quest to kidnap Sonya a difficult - if not impossible - feat.

  - Veronica's kidnapping had more political motivation than personal motivation.  There were groups that had a vested interest in the Capobiancos succeeding in kidnapping Veronica.  Those in government that wanted to chip away at Native sovereignty and an adoption industry that, for decades, was federally barred from a select group of children.  These groups needed the Capobiancos to win in order to find the chink in the armor needed to pursue their individual agendas.

  - Sonya is considered a ward of the state and when it comes to Children's Services, parental rights have more protections.  Yes, there are laws in place that allow for those protections to be weakened, but it usually comes into play when it becomes clear that reunification can never happen*.  The Hodgins, as foster parents, technically had no right to try to adopt Sonya when DCS made it clear they could not do so until DCS themselves gave the green light.  They've attempted, and continue to attempt, to apply private adoption laws to a foster care case.  Those in support of the Hodgins continue to spew a federal law that technically doesn't apply to Sonya.  They all continue to feed into the Hodgin's obsessive and delusional belief that they actually have a right to Sonya.

This is what obsession leads to.  A drive to snatch away someone else's child at all costs.  Fueled further by those around them who push for adoption at all costs, even against the will of the child.  Obsession to take another man's child and get their chance at a "do-over".  Why should these nutters get a second chance at anything?  Why continue to allow them the opportunity to tie more garbage up in court and make the child's life miserable because they can't see beyond their own obsessive wants?

Many can claim these cases are rare, but they're not as rare as one would like to think.  Across the country, entitled and obsessive wanna-be parents are fighting to take or keep a child they've decided is theirs.  The Frei's of Utah, who fought Terry Achane for his daughter.  Even with the laws on his side, it still took two years before Achane got custody**.  The McLemore-Morris's out of Arkansas, who are still fighting to keep a child from her father, Trent Reicks, even when the law is on his side (they used their buddy judge to handle the adoption).  The kidnapper of little Hailey still has her, even after her father, Anthony Lingle, got the adoption and even a guardianship thrown out.

Obsession derails logical thinking skills, makes wanna be adopters believe their own hype and self perceived glory.  Gives them the means and the support to do whatever is necessary to take a child from their family.  And we have a society that encourages it and even condones it when laws are broken.  We hear about it all time.  It's usually the first thing out of someone's mouth when they hear about contested adoption cases:  If the parents truly loved those kids, they would give up after a few years since the kidnappers are the only parents the kid knows.  It's sick, it's disgusting, and giving such allowances to obsessed kidnappers has to stop.

*regarding the statement about foster care and parental rights - yes, there are cases of corruption in which parental rights are not held to the standard they should and there are numerous cases in which individual social workers, agencies and even counties work to weaken those protections immediately in an effort to fast track an adoption for federal funding.  i am completely aware of this, but as a general rule, parental rights are technically more protected in foster care cases than with private adoptions, in which there are almost NO protections.

**when Achane was given custody, the Freis originally were planning to appeal the decision.  they later dropped the appeal and have since left Achane and his daughter alone.

Corruption Out of Benton County

I actually had another post planned, but this one is immensely urgent.  There is another illegal adoption going down and the father is up against an entire court filled with monsters.

Trent Reicks did everything the law required of him to assert his rights over his daughter.  He wasn't supposed to know about the mother's plan to give their baby up behind his back, but when he was informed of the mother's plan, he wanted to make sure the law was on his side.

What Trent didn't know was that the couple seeking to claim his daughter as their own were lawyers.  Paul Morris worked out of a local firm Wright, Lindsey and Jennings LLP and the wife, Stephanie McLemore (Morris) was the deputy prosecuting attorney.  Already, one can tell that this was not going to be an easy fight for Trent.

Trent met with the couple in the hopes that they would realize that his daughter had a family that wanted her and would turn her over.  They had no intention of giving Trent his baby.  As a matter of fact, they informed him if he attempted to fight, they'd make sure he never received a scrap of info on the infant.

Trent took a chance and started legal proceedings to protect his right to parent his daughter.  The judge, Xollie Duncan, granted the Morris' petition to TPR Trent on the grounds of unreasonably with-holding consent.  I shit you not.  They terminated his rights on what amounts to a bullshit reason.  As far as I know, such grounds do not even exist, but this disgusting bitch judge did just that.  It should also be noted that Duncan is actually Paul and Stephanie's friend.  Is this not a massive conflict of interest?  How can the judge overseeing an adoption case keep bias out of their decision when the couple seeking to kidnap (i mean, "adopt") are her own best buds?

Then, to add insult to injury, this skanky judge put a gag on the case to ensure Trent couldn't speak out against the corruption or go to the media regarding the kidnapping of his daughter.

As far as I know, Duncan finalized the adoption and the two kidnapping lawyers were good to their word about keeping Trent out of the loop regarding his daughter.  They want him to vanish.  No doubt Trent is working on an appeal.  I don't know for sure since the kidnappers and their judge friend slapped a gag order down, but here's to hope.  He did everything by the book and has a solid case.  The connections and conflict of interest in the adoption case is enough for him to fight and take it to higher courts.

The world needs to know that Benton County Arkansas is run by kidnappers and friends of kidnappers.  Paul Morris, Stephanie McLemore and Xollie Duncan conspired and kidnapped a baby at birth and then TPR'd the father on non existent grounds.

Let the world see them all.  Kidnappers.  Thieves.  Monsters.  Your lie will not live forever.

Veronica Brown - One Year Later

Today marks the one year anniversary of the kidnapping of Veronica Brown by Matt and Melanie Capobianco.  They are still insisting on privacy and keep her hidden from public view.  Rumors are circulating that the child is indeed being isolated from others, only paraded around a select handful of people, not allowed access to any other children and being drugged heavily to keep her compliant.  Recent photos found of Veronica show a child who has lost her spark and who has gained a significant amount of weight, which most know is usually a sign a child is being drugged with something.

I would like to think the weight gain is due to unhealthy eating habits, and it's possible this may be the case.  After all, the kidnappers planned to use cookie therapy.  Whenever she cried for her Daddy, give her a cookie to shut her up so they wouldn't have to be face to face with the hurt and confusion they caused.  It's just as likely they're feeding her pain with food and now causing a potential eating disorder.  Whatever is happening, they're to blame for it, plain and simple.

Both Tulsa World and The Post and Courier ran brief articles about the one year mark.  Both the Browns and the kidnappers have refused any interviews.  Dusten Brown is still being manipulated and strong armed to remain silent about what he thinks of them snatching his child away.  He's not allowed to say how outraged he is.  He's supposed to act like they're some big happy fucking family when these monsters used the courts to kidnap HIS daughter, put charges against him for refusing to give them HIS daughter and now has to watch his daughter be abused through food manipulation, possibly drugs and complete social isolation by a couple of monsters who paid everyone off around him to take his baby from him.

Yes, she is being abused.  What happened to her is child abuse.  These monsters took her from her family, forced a fake identity onto her, isolate her from everyone and are either shoving food or drugs down her throat to keep her compliant.  The kidnappers might not be physically harming her, but what they've done and continue to do to this child is abuse all the same.

One has to wonder just why the kidnappers are not flaunting their prize on the one year mark.  If she is as happy and adjusted as their circle of supporters and friends are claiming, why not post her face on national TV proclaiming her love and adoration for her new mommy and daddy? *please excuse me while I vomit*  After all, they flaunted her face and name in every media outlet that gave them face-time, they made sure the public knew who Veronica Brown was.  And other than a few photos taken mere days after she was snatched, no public photos of the child have been released.  The Capobiancos have proven themselves to be utter media whores and no doubt would have jumped at the chance to flaunt their little puppet trophy onto live television if she was as happy and content as they all are trying to claim.

Their refusal to do media interviews and refusal to show the world Veronica Brown on the one year mark of her kidnapping reveal a lot more than anyone is willing to admit.  That Veronica Brown is not happy and adjusted.  That she still asks for her Daddy and when she can go home.  Their illusion of this happy family would be smashed to dust once the world got a glimpse of how Veronica was really doing.  And if they are drugging her or using food to feed her pain, all the more reason to keep her hidden away.  The world cannot know that Veronica is unhappy, angry, possibly overweight and still wanting to go back home to her Daddy in Oklahoma.

Sadly, the world considers Veronica Brown old news now.  We're all supposed to just be glad she was snatched by a "loving" family and should just leave her alone and let her have peace.  The Capobiancos are the ones responsible for turning her into a public figure and no, we will not leave it alone.  She didn't deserve to be kidnapped through the courts and forced to live with strangers.  She didn't deserve to have her complete identity stripped from her.  She didn't deserve to have her name (AKA Baby Girl) listed along with her father and the Cherokee Nation in a lawsuit filed by the kidnappers.  The Capobiancos are the ones responsible for the public knowing who Veronica Brown is.  And now they're keeping her hidden to keep their abuses from becoming known.  Keeping her hidden because the world can't see what they've turned her into.  Screw peace.  Make those monsters fear stepping out their doors.  They will never have a moment's peace until Veronica escapes from them.

Just remember, Matt and Melanie, your crime will not be brushed under the rug forever.  You and your friends from Trio Solutions can't silence everyone.

Long Hard Road Out of Hell

Well, it only took eight years, numerous frivolous motions and a lot of tantrums, but the end came swiftly and brutally for the foster parents, Dave and Kim Hodgin.  Yesterday, the judge overhearing SM's dependency case handed their butts back to them and then some.  It was finally determined that Tennessee never should have held jurisdiction over SM's case and it was officially transferred to her home state, Nebraska.  Her father's original custody order sealed the deal.  In other words, because there was already a case with the state of Nebraska, no other state was allowed to take over jurisdiction, regardless of how long the child resided in the other state.  Federal law makes this clear.  As to how this was overlooked, one can only speculate.  The custody order is from when SM was a mere toddler.  Of course, given the level of connections and corruption within the community the foster parents lived in, one can speculate as to how this little tidbit was brushed under the rug.  This is all purely speculative on my part, but me thinks the original social workers who handled SM's dependency case may be the ones to blame for not looking into things further.  There are still numerous questions as to why SM was not transferred back to her home state once the state of TN was made aware of where she'd come from and why the state of TN didn't look further into the issue of how this child had come into TN with no parent.  And when the parent and family started to fight to get her returned, why was nothing looked into further.

I have my theories, as do many others.  One of which is that someone in the Hodgin family knew they wanted a child and it is possible this whole mess was a scheme to obtain a child for them.  It seems odd that everyone worked so hard to keep SM in the state of Tennessee even with her father and family fighting to get her.  Even after discovering SM was a resident of NE, everyone seemed to be working to make sure she remained in TN with the Hodgins.  Paperwork was conveniently "lost", SM's original social worker lied in reports about interactions between SM and her family, and the kicker being that the Hodgins attempted to adopt SM a mere few months after she was placed in their care.  Something a bit off here, yeah?

I suppose it's all moot now, but one must wonder just how this mess managed to drag on for EIGHT YEARS.  We all know the Hodgins filed numerous motions to stall the reunification process and keep SM in their care.  As a general rule when it comes to custody cases, when motions are filed, the court has to take time to set a date and hear the motions.  During this time, the child remains in the care of whomever they're with.  In this case, SM remained in the care of the Hodgins.  They filed and appealed every chance they had in an effort to stall the case.  It's actually a well written formula in most adoption cases where the adoption is contested.  File, stall, appeal, stall, etc.  Nine times out of ten, courts rule in favor of the placement due to how long the child was in their care.  No doubt the Hodgins were confident they'd be able to stall things out and get to keep her simply because they'd managed to hold onto her for so many years.

As for why it took eight years for DCS to finally pull the plug on the Hodgins plot to steal SM, I do not know.  It's rare that a case can drag on this long without a court siding with whomever had the child the longest.  But something happened and DCS finally acted.  SM and her father are still making up for eight years lost.  Her family is making up for the eight years lost.  A father and family the Hodgins never told her she had until just a few short years ago and barred her from ever knowing.

In the seven months since SM was returned to her father, the Hodgins obtained help from the notorious Trio and Jessica Munday and just like the Veronica Brown case last year, unleashed a rabid smear campaign against the father and family.  In perfect PR fashion, the truth was twisted or outright obliterated in order to favor the failed foster parents.  If you read the story from their version of events, you'd think SM became a foster child due to something her father and family had done.  You'd think she languished in foster care due to her parents' actions.  You'd think she'd been adopted as an infant/toddler and the adoption was only overturned recently.  Trio wanted you to believe this.  They wanted you to believe that any and all adoptions were threatened by a case like this.  After all, this "birth" father with a troubled past managed to get an adoption overturned!  They wanted the public to be outraged, wanted adoptive couples to be scared, wanted you to be furious enough to donate to their cause.

Anyone who questioned the legitimacy of their claims were deleted from the Hodgin support page and blocked from posting again.  The story of how they got her and the story behind the DCS transfer were changed again and again.  Many of the supporters were also part of the Capobiancos' campaign to steal Veronica, Trio at the helm of that as well.  Many of the most rabid supporters are connected to Trio or the Capobiancos in some fashion.  They posted outright lies about the father, the mother, the grandmother and even a grandfather whom has not had any contact with the family is some years.  Nothing but lies.  And those lies sucked in supporters who were unable to find any other information on the case and took their lies as the truth.  Add a few national media appearances with their twisted version of the truth and hundreds of others joined their cause in support of stealing back SM from her "unfit" father.

I digress, I apologize.  Those following my blog and who have been following the case know all of this.  You know those behind the Hodgins' campaign were riding high on their victory last year in the kidnapping of Veronica Brown.  They were too cocky, too confident.  Given the length of time the Hodgins managed to hold onto to SM, they most likely figured this case would be an easy win.  They got lucky with the kidnapping of Veronica due to the political aspects of the case and ICWA.  There are also very few safeguards for biological parents when it comes to private adoption cases.  This, along with the backing from the adoption industry and various politicians who want native sovereignty dismantled were what led to Veronica Brown being kidnapped by the Capobiancos.

Well, SM wasn't a private adoption case, it was a dependency case.  This alone makes it a whole different ball park.  There are more safeguards for biological parents, more laws that protect their rights and the rights of the child.  No doubt Trio, Munday and the minions didn't consider this.  They most likely figured since the Hodgins had managed to maintain custody of SM for so many years, that alone would fuel their case.  It seems that this was one of the primary talking points on the support page - how long they had her.  How they should have superior rights since they "had her longer".  They also focused on the father's history, making him sound like some dangerous career criminal when in fact it was just two incidents nearly two decades ago.  As for a third more recent incident, it was based solely off a technicality in the law.

Regardless of his history, his rights as a parent superseded the Hodgins' claim of ownership.  If you went by the logic of Trio, the minions and the other supporters, anyone with a criminal past should not have any rights to their children.  That was and still is essentially what they are saying.  Doesn't matter if the crime took place ten, twenty years before you even had children, because of this, you should have your children taken and given to "better" families.

The lies Trio and the Hodgins spun came to a crashing halt finally.  The ultimate crash and burn.  The judge overseeing the dependency case ripped into the Hodgins and called them out on their lies.  He told them they KNEW that reunification had been the goal from square one.  They knew the grandmother had been approved as placement during the father's incarceration.  They knew they'd have to transfer SM back to her family's custody.  This was nowhere near as sudden as they claimed.  And any claim otherwise was a lie.  And because there is an original custody order from SM's state of origin, federal law obligated him to transfer the case to Nebraska.

Imagine that.....the judge called them out on their BS and it is now on record that the Hodgins and Trio had been lying through their teeth about the case.  Their claims that SM was just abruptly transferred back to her father without any notice?  A LIE.  Their claims that SM's paternal grandmother was not an approved placement due to neglect?  A LIE.  Their claims that they never knew reunification was the goal?  A LIE.

As I write this, I do not doubt that Trio is scrambling to figure out a way to spin this in a way to favor the Hodgins.  The last post on the support page had them crying foul and claiming corruption.  They tried claiming that TN should still hold jurisdiction due to the original emergency order that placed her in state care.  Funny that.  Federal laws regarding custody actually state that the state the original orders were issued from hold sole jurisdiction and they have to willingly release jurisdiction in order for another state to take over.  The judge made it clear: TENNESSEE SHOULD NEVER HAVE HELD ANY JURISDICTION AND CANNOT LEGALLY CONTINUE TO KEEP HER CASE THERE.

SM's case was officially transferred to her home state.  Victory for her and her family.  Thanks to the circus the Hodgins have unleashed for the last several months, she wants NOTHING to do with them anymore.  She found out that she'd been lied to her whole life by them.  She found out she was seen as nothing but a possession to them.  I do not doubt that she loves them seeing that they did care for her for so long, but considering the depths they've gone to demonize her family, the lies they told her and the embarrassment of having her face and name plastered across the nation, she's now dealing with a range of emotions that no child her age should have to deal with.  At this point in time, she wants absolutely nothing to do with them.  Most of her life had been a lie maintained by the Hodgins and those who supported their efforts to keep her in their care.

To quote a fellow supporter, No lie can live forever.  Never before has such words held such truth.  Lies only lead to more lies.  To those who think they can just take any child they want, the truth comes out eventually.  They will eventually know what really happened.  You can't erase everything, can't silence everyone.  When you attempt to obtain a child through illegal and unethical means, you can only lie so much before you have to lie some more to cover up the original lies.  And that day of reckoning will be hard and merciless.  When your precious little trophies and purchases grow up enough to understand what took place, they will rise against you.  Claims of love and best interest will fall on deaf ears because they are nothing more than empty and meaningless mantras to make yourself feel better about your crimes.

Enough of my ramblings for now.  Off to go school shopping with my Monster.

Let's Catch Up, Shall We?

Hey peeps, I'm back for the moment.  I was in need of a break from all of what was going on.  So much!  More cases of unethical adopters popping up, the Hodgin/McCaul case taking some more devious turns, a few current cases taking some low blows from the industry and the entitled kidnappers who want their children.  It blows my mind that some of these cases have fallen under national news radar.  Outside of the local outlets or first hand accounts from those up against those in power, there's not been a single whisper about these cases.

Let's start with the failed foster parents, Dave and Kim Hodgin.  I will admit, a lot has happened.  They have once again filed a petition to TPR Mr McCaul so they can adopt SM.  Sadly, instead of throwing the case out, the judge involved with this part actually put things on hold until another court date.  Given TN laws, the legal thing to do would be to throw the TPR petition out.  In order to apply to adopt, the potential family has to have custody of the child and have them in their custody for at least six months, if I remember correctly.  The Hodgins have neither.  SM is still in the custody of her father and has been since January.

The Hodgins have also fired their lawyer and hired.....check this out....AN ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER.  This case should have ended last month but now due to a change in legal representation, they were given several weeks to get their new lawyer up to speed.  He has no experience in dependency law or child custody.  Word through the grapevine is things did go rather well for SM and her father so far.  I don't know the details, but apparently this entertainment lawyer bit off more than he can chew taking on a case he has absolutely ZERO experience in.

The hate group, Christian Alliance for Indian Child Welfare, run by a Lisa Morris, are in a tizzy now over the Department of Justice getting involved with the South Dakota cases of native children being taken out of homes by social services and placed or adopted out to non native families, trampling all over ICWA as if it meant nothing.  Yes, folks, the federal government is now eye balling the blatant federal violations by South Dakota social services against the Lakota people and numerous others.  Do not be fooled by this Morris broad.  She firmly believes anyone of Christian faith should be allowed to adopt a child of their choice, even if it violates federal and state laws.  She believes native rights are discriminatory against whites and the Christian religion.  Her hate group was part of the driving force of support to the Capobianco kidnappers.  She continues to push for laws that make it easy pickins' on native children.

And now thanks to the Supreme Court's disgustingly narrow ruling against Dusten and his daughter (the existing Indian family portion of ICWA), a few non native potential adopters are trying to use this in an effort to adopt native children elsewhere.  Out of California, there is a dependency case involving a Choctaw child in foster care.  Due to all the nonsense Childrens Services has placed on the father, he finally threw in the towel with reunification efforts and requested, per federal law, that his son go to next of kin.  The fosters, even though they knew the little boy would only be in their care temporarily, decided they deserve the child more and are now fighting to keep the child from being taken from them.  An appeals court more or less told them they had zero rights to the child and ICWA stands.  They even blasted the Supreme Court's interpretation of that portion of the law.  My understanding, sadly, is that California is a very pro adoption state, so it's hard to say how this will turn out.  The appelate court kicked the case back down to the lower courts but also made it clear that federal law had to be followed.  Reckon we'll see how this pans out.

Another case has a young man pitted against kidnappers who actually work for the court and the judge overseeing the case is a FRIEND OF THEIRS.  From what has been gathered, things are not going in this man's favor and honestly, given the massive conflict of interest, should be enough to get a change of venue and judge.  From my understanding, he has done everything required of him per state law to establish his rights and because the kidnappers are in places of power and are connected to the judge overseeing the case, he is the proverbial David against the more powerful Goliath.  Most of the information here was gleaned from support pages and a few other posts when the Dad tried to speak out.  Sadly, a gag order has been placed on him to keep him from speaking out against the injustices happening against him and his child and much of this information is no longer available now.  He is not allowed to speak about what is happening to him and his son.  Typical actions when a court and entitled kidnappers want to keep their crimes secret.

Another case has been going on for a period of time involving an adoption agency and a mother manipulated and strong armed into giving her son up for adoption.  The agency involved has refused to return her son, even as their ability to place him with another family grows slimmer and slimmer.  The agency, Adoption by Gentle Care, is so determined to keep her son, they have been watching the mother's every move online and even following a few blogs that highlighted the story when it first came out.  The public outcry has become a public relations nightmare for the agency.  Every ill thing said by her supporters is being used against her, from what I understand.

I honestly cannot say much more about this case.  I am afraid my sailor tongue will come through and I have an awful lot to say about this agency, but I just cannot.  Given the details I am aware of, much like everyone else, I am imploring Adoption by Gentle Care to find it in their heart to give the mother back her son.  You got your glory, AGC.  Now do what's right and what you know is right and give her back her son.  He needs his Momma more than ever and you know this.  We get that you're upset about the backlash this case has caused and are wanting to make an example out of the mother, but in the end the only ones that will be hurt are that baby and whichever family you are able to place him with.  There are numerous other children you can work with placing, children who need families.  This baby needs to go back home to his mother, where he belongs.

I will update more in a later entry as more public information comes through about the above mentioned cases.  This is just a run down of what is taking place across the country.

Message From Dorkzilla

Apparently my blog has struck a nerve.  I discovered a few days ago that Welcome to My World was reported as Spam/Harassment and Google had deleted the blog.  I challenged the deletion and within 24 hrs, it was restored.  For safe measure, a few of the entries were deleted and I will be taking a brief hiatus.  Not sure how long of a hiatus, but I assure you I will return.  This will be the last entry for a little while.  Consider other options in the event Welcome to My World gets shut down again.  No doubt once it is discovered that I am back in business, the perpetrators will swarm in and report it again.  Cowardly, mindless sheeple hell bent on wiping the truth off the internet.  They have a primary goal: adopt who is not adoptable and smother those who speak out against it.  And if they can't silence you, unleash a full blow public character assassination.

I say bring it on.

Obviously the truth hurts.  They won't be able to maintain their lies to the public or to the children they've successfully abducted in fraudulent and borderline illegal adoptions.  If those children discover the truth, they risk their little purchases rising up against them.  They risk a public seeing the dark side of adoption they try like hell to hide.  They put their spin on it, warp the truth to put the light in their favor.  And they push to eradicate and silence those who oppose them.

Like I said: BRING. IT. ON.

I will say this: let it be known that the public will know that Trio Solutions supports child thieves.  Let it be known that the Capobianco's illegal adoption of Veronica Brown was nothing more than a court condoned KIDNAPPING.  Let it be known that anyone who thinks they have a right to a child that is not available for adoption and fights to take that child from family or circumvent Children's Services to take that child is nothing more than a KIDNAPPER.

Trio, the Capobiancos, the Hodgins and their supporters know they support the utter destruction of the family unit and the laws that maintain that unit.  They know they support twisting laws to make every child adoptable against the wishes of family and Children's Services.  They know they lie to the public and manipulate the truth to sway the public's opinion of such matters.  Nothing more than a group of monsters out to snatch whatever child they please under the guise of "saving" the child.

Your crimes against families and children will not be silenced.  The world will know.  Get this blog shut down and I will simply take it to another forum.  Just when you think you have me silenced, I will pop up somewhere else.  I will be everywhere and anywhere.  The world will know who you are and what you are.

You will not be able to stop me.

They're Making Their Way Into My State!

You heard that right.  Trio and the minions have inched their slimy claws into my state.  They are working with a local foster family in another great effort to destroy native sovereignty and demolish reunification laws.  The case involves a little girl who was placed in foster care as a toddler.  She was placed with Pete and Laura Lupo.  Little girl Elle remained with the Lupos for approximately two years before the Department of Children and Family Services transitioned her to the care of an Aunt and Uncle.

The Lupos were mad that Elle was placed back with family.  They wanted to adopt her.  No doubt some miscommunications took place or the Lupos merely had selective hearing, but they were under the belief they'd get to adopt her.  Well, as much as it sucks, they were merely foster parents and when the aunt and uncle did all that DCFS required of them to gain placement of Elle, per state law, Elle was transferred to their care.

The Indian Child Welfare Act was invoked in this case.  While I don't doubt it played a part in what is happening, state law is quite clear when it comes to permanency plans for state dependents.  Family has preference over non-related caregivers so Elle would have gone to the aunt and uncle regardless.

The Lupos got the backing of the infamous Trio Minions and they have a support page.  They've plastered their faces on a local news station.  Per the Trio playbook, blame ICWA for breaking apart a family, stretch the truth or just outright lie.  Same shit, different child basically.  They claim the aunt and uncle just appeared out of nowhere to take her and didn't want her until she was recognized as a native child.  Funnily enough, the aunt and uncle had been working with DCFS for at least SIX MONTHS or more to meet the requirements to become a relative foster placement.  And the Lupos even tried to claim Elle was suddenly just torn from their home.  Well, it was discovered that the Lupos themselves couldn't handle the two week transition period that was going to take place to transfer Elle to the aunt and uncle and they called DCFS and demanded she be removed now because it was too hard on them

Trio and the minions are hard at work, claiming in every forum they can that the uncle only stepped forward when it benefited him and that they are using the little girl for tribal money and whatever other bullshit these idiots love to spew.  They are flaunting Veronica's kidnapping as proof the Lupos will be able to fight, claiming the little girl simply isn't native enough.  Hell, Pete Lupo even said on the news segment that Elle is only "one percent" and not entitled to native protections.  Here's the thing, you wanna be hipster, YOU and the courts do not get to determine whether or not that little girl is native enough.  The tribe itself gets to do that and they have determined that she qualifies.

Her native ties aside, the point here simply is that the Lupos were well aware that Elle would not be an adoptable child and would be transferred to the care of extended family.  They decided they were more entitled to her and want to fight it.  The law is the law.  Family placement will always take precedence over non-related foster parents.  Especially when it comes to permanency and the parents themselves are no longer a valid option.  Elle's uncle and aunt were determined to be a suitable placement and had done all DCFS required of them.

If Munday and Trio dare show their faces in my state, you better believe I'll make sure I'm there to call them out on their lies and bullshit.  I'll call them out for the lies they spread about Dusten, the lies spread about John and the lies being spread about Elle's uncle.  Christ, one would think Munday and her minions would think twice about the shit coming out of their mouths.  They're being sued for defamation, remember?  And they're finding out that Elle's extended family isn't going to just stand by while they flame Elle's uncle all over the internet.  They've come out in force, giving the assholes some pretty good virtual bitch slaps.

I do sort of feel bad for the Lupos.  For one, they are most likely unaware of the monsters who have extended their helping hand.  Secondly, I don't doubt that they do love little Elle.  But she was not their child.  She never was.  If they were made to believe she'd be their child, they either misunderstood or were grossly misinformed.  Part of me suspects they heard only what they wanted to hear.  Maybe they were told there was a high probability she'd become adoptable.  That still doesn't make her legally free to adopt.  Maybe a caseworker did get their hopes up.  But the pendulum could still swing in the other direction.  Either way, being told there's a chance she could become adoptable does not mean she IS adoptable.

So listen up, Trio, Jessica, Dev, Bonnie, Aria, and the rest of you pathetic muppets:  Your days of trying to make it open market on other people's kids will be over.  Welcome to the evergreen state, assholes.  You will not succeed in manipulating our laws like you did in South Carolina and Oklahoma.  Will will not succeed in trampling our dependency and reunification laws.  You're on our turf now, fuckers.

They Call Us Anti-Adoption

Titles can be annoying.  For some, it's easier to slap a title onto a group in an effort to deflect and sway the opinion of outsiders.  It's a handy weapon in the heat of battle, especially when there are those involved in the debate/battle who are not completely familiar with the situation at hand or the two opposing groups.

Trio and the minions love to refer to many of us as an anti-adoption group.  It was used during the last legal battle and is again being used in the more current legal battle.  It's a knee jerk terminology.  Something that strikes a nerve with the populace who is often only familiar with the feel good stories that appear in the local papers.  After all, who in their right mind is against an institution that helps find homes and families for children in dire need of one?  How often do you hear from those who talk about the need to find homes for the orphans in third world countries or those poor abused foster children who would have died if left in the care of their biological families?  When people hear the word adoption, this is what they see and believe.  Children who need a home.  Children who will die in their country of origin or languish in foster care if some wonderful family doesn't open their home.

They call us anti-adoption because we do not support all adoptions.  They believe that once the child is placed in that home, no matter what laws were skirted or outright broken, the child should remain there.  Refusing to support entitled couples who believe they have more right to a child than their own biological family means you're anti-adoption.  Refusing to support forced adoption means you're anti-adoption.  Refusing to support manipulation of the courts to keep a child a couple is not entitled to means you're anti-adoption.

SM and VB are just two cases in which the supporters for the abductors (i.e. potential adoptive family) have called us anti-adoption.  Refusing to support the discriminative laws in place that rob fathers of their right to their children means we are against adoption as a whole.  Never mind that these laws were put in place by the adoption industry itself in an effort to keep their commodity flowing.  Can't make their money if those pesky fathers have equal rights to their children, right?

Those who support the Hodgins and the kidnappers of VB support the dark side of adoption.  They are against families having the right to raise their children.  They support laws being skirted and in some cases, outright broken.  They support unethical means to obtain a child.  They support the current laws in place to keep fathers away.  They support ripping children from their homes and forcing them to live a life of slavery in another home with another couple and support forcing that child to call their abductors mom and dad.  They support foster couples side-stepping Children's Services and dependency laws in an effort to claim a foster child as their own, even with the child's family fighting to get the child back.

They support holding onto a child that is not theirs to hold onto in an effort to sway the courts and the public.  After all, how often do you hear "well, if the parents really loved their child, they'd give up and not take the child from the only home they know".  This is their ammo.  Obtain and restrain.  The longer they can hold onto the child, the better their chances.  Never mind if the child's family had been fighting since the beginning, once the legal battle has spanned a few years, the biological family is then seen as the monster trying to rip the child from their home.  And if you are unwilling to side with the wanna be adoptive parents, you are labeled anti-adoption.

I don't doubt there are those who are truly anti-adoption.  I have heard from quite a few adoptees themselves who believe adoption should be eradicated completely and only guardianship be available.  Adoption in its current form erases the child's history, that is a fact.  Seals their birth records and any information of their family of origin forever under the misguided ideal of "birth parent privacy".  Those who are truly against adoption are not against a child having a permanent home, but believe a permanent home with strangers should be a last resort and the child should still be able to keep their heritage, name and access to their records.  Guardianship gives a person almost all the same rights as a parent, but doesn't change the child's record of birth and history.  The only issue with this is that those who seek to raise a child as their own often want the records of the child's birth altered and changed to reflect them as the child's family.  They want the fraudulent birth certificate that erases the child's parents' names and puts the strangers' names in their place.  They prefer the "as if born to" ideal that has haunted the adoption world since the days of Georgia Tann.

I'm not anti-adoption.  I support adoption when all is done legally and ethically (both parents consenting, no coercion, or the father being served properly and given time to contest should he wish to do so).  I support adoption when it is about finding a home for a child that truly needs one. It's clear in the SM case and the VB case that efforts were made to side-step the father.  Clear that it has nothing to do with finding a home for a child.  Both cases clearly are about finding a child for a couple at all costs.  Refusing to support the entitlement of strangers does not make us anti-adoption.  Refusing to support the current adoption practices and laws does not make anyone anti-adoption.  We are against illegal adoptions, unethical adoptions and the dehumanization of the child's family.  We are against those who seek to make it open season on our children.  Foster families should have no right to circumvent Children's Services or family in an effort to claim a child as their own.  Wanna be adoptive couples should have no right to battle a mother and/or father in court for the right to raise a child.  These cases highlight the proof that it is never about the child, but about the people hell-bent on taking that child.

Those who seek to take children from fit families know they are wrong and know it is only about them and not the child.  The Capobiancos and the Hodgins are poster children for entitlement.  It was and is always about what they want and to hell with everyone else, including the children they claim to love.  And Trio encourages this entitlement.  Of course, the public cannot know it's all about the non-related adults who want the child as their own.  Easier to spin the tale of the deadbeat father who abandoned his pregnant ex-fiance or the jailbird father who spent most of the child's life in prison.  Hit the unsuspecting public in their heart.  Paint the entitled couples as saviors to these poor children who can provide so much more than the child's family.

And if you refuse to believe their bullshit and dare to investigate the case further, you are automatically labeled as anti-adoption.

The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall

It appears that Trio, the Hodgins and their supporters have underestimated JM and his lawyer.  No doubt these goons got over-confident in their crusade, especially after successfully dragging Dusten Brown through the mud and trying him in the court of public opinion.  No doubt they got over-confident after successfully tearing Veronica away from her family.

Getting over-confident makes one cocky.  Makes one think they're immune to the consequences of their actions.  Hey, they were able to trash on Brown for four years without fear, so it was too easy to unleash their venom again against JM.  After all, they got away with it once and they won!  Easy enough to believe the Hodgin case would be in the bag.

During some of the last court dates, guess what folks got served with?  The above photo lists well over a dozen different people involved in the continuous trash talk against JM and family.  Take a moment to read over those names.  Aside from the Hodgins themselves, we have Bonnie Cleaveland, Kendall Sykes and Trio Solution.  Many of the other names are various internet trolls who are connected to Trio, some are relatives of the kidnapping Capobiancos and others are just assholes who have chips on their shoulders from their own shitty lives.  All of the people listed in this defamation suit have flamed JM across the internet and also were part of the smear campaign against Dusten Brown.

In the wake of the suit, some have fallen quiet and others have most likely created new accounts under new names to continue their crusade of tearing children from their families for profit.  While I haven't watched the news much, I think it's safe to say that maybe Trio realized they bit off a bit more than they could chew in this debacle.  Some folks who were in support of the Hodgins are starting to distance themselves in the wake of some other revelations.  A few media outlets were a bit surprised to learn that SM's "adoptive parents" were actually just her foster parents and the adoption had been vacated years ago.  Lies are being exposed in the way of a restraining order the Hodgins filed against DCS to keep them from removing SM and placing her in a different home to prepare her for reunification - proof they knew she was not available for adoption and reunification had been the goal from square one.

Honestly, I am overjoyed that JM and his legal team are fighting back.  Maybe this suit will bring to light all the wrongs done to him and his daughter as well as Dusten and Veronica.

I find it amusing because Trio, Sykes and the others thought they were untouchable.  Nobody is truly untouchable.  And it appears that they are all going down in flames.

The Hidden Class War

It seems that everywhere you turn, you hear about Class War.  In most situations, it's in reference to income disparity and what constitutes a livable wage.  Discussions about raising minimum wage, repairing what many see is a broken public assistance program, how much tax is too much for our wealthiest of citizens.  I've witnessed a great many Facebook arguments over the topic.  Those voicing fears over rising prices in the wake of paying employees a living wage, those insisting that people in low skill jobs should bankrupt themselves to get an education to better themselves or even the simple "They shouldn't have had a family if they couldn't get a good paying job".

It's the tip of the iceberg really.  Beneath it all is another class war that is all but hidden to the public.  The war of poor parent versus wealthier potential adoptive parent.  Numerous cases have surfaced through the years.  Young unmarried men often in the lower income bracket fighting against the adoption of their children by entitled potential adoptive parents who usually have the bigger bankroll.  Cases that dragged on months or years before these young men were forced to give up either due to lack of funds or the courts finally siding with the wealthier strangers due to unfair laws or simply their ability to hold onto the child during the proceedings, never allowing the father contact.  The claims of "best interest" usually used.

Dusten Brown was your average low middle income young man who managed to fight for four years against the adoption of his daughter, only to lose because the kidnappers had the backing of the adoption industry, a legal team who had connections with the higher courts, hate groups hell bent on dismantling Native Sovereignty and a public relations firm that managed to unleash a horrendous character assassination campaign.  Everyone who heard the one sided story chided in with how much more the kidnappers could provide and how selfish he was to keep his daughter from a "better life".

JM and his fight against the Hodgins has run a similar course in a few arenas.  The same public relations firm has gotten involved with the failed foster parents and have let loose another character assassination campaign.  The Hodgins have a farm, have this, have that.  The Hodgins had SM in numerous extracurricular activities.  The supporters of the Hodgins have outright lied about aspects of the case made available to the public.  Supporters of the foster parents have flooded internet with scorning remarks against JM, calling him selfish and unfit.  It has turned into "if you truly cared, you'd let her go back and have all the things you obviously will never be able to afford".

Terry Achane fought for over two years to get his daughter back.  And he dealt with much of the same bullshit.  If he "truly loved" T, he'd let her stay with her kidnappers and be raised with all he could never provide on a military salary. He was called selfish and uncaring.  Luckily for him, his marital status saved his hide.  And that barely saved him.  The simple fact that he'd been married to the mother at the time of T's birth was the deciding factor in him finally receiving custody of little T.

In all the contested adoption and pseudo custody cases that have surfaced, a common theme has emerged.  How much more the potential adopters can provide.  How much less the fighting parent has.  Oh, you can't afford to put the kid in 4-H, you shouldn't have them.  You can't afford to drop $70 on a pair of name brand sneakers, you have no right to fight for them.  People literally believe if you truly cared about your child, you'd let them be adopted by utter strangers who have the bigger house, the bigger yard, the newer car and have the cash to spare to pay big name lawyers and a PR firm to make you look like a piece of shit.

Another case has arisen of a young man fighting the adoption of his daughter.  The kidnappers are court officials themselves and the court he is fighting is the very court these kidnappers work in.  Gag orders have come down and this young man is facing potential jail time for putting the kidnappers on blast and not keeping their identity secret.  There will be more on this case when more information is obtained.  But it appears to be the same formula as many others: lower income father fighting against wealthier, better connected kidnappers.

It's become a terrifying trend.  Better connected, more financially secure kidnappers are taking their pick of children from lower income families and claiming them as their own.  Some are finding loop-holes in the child welfare system to "legally" claim children, others are using their connections within the court system to push a fight until it financially exhausts the parent fighting back and others are simply vilifying low income parents anywhere they can but making sure to point out that THEY can provide so much more and if a poor parent truly cared about their kids, they'd give them up to wealthier families and not raise them in what they see as poverty.

Having more cash does not make anyone a fitter parent.  And those who think it does honestly show just how materialistic and delusional they truly are.  If it's war you want, it's war you'll get.

Forced Adoption Equals Slavery

Veronica Brown is still in the clutches of her captors.  Forced to live a lie, forced to call strangers Mom and Dad.  Called a name that is not hers.  Given a birth certificate that blatantly lies.  Forced to forget about her father, stepmother, sister and grandparents.  And the American public condoned this travesty.....all because her father didn't "support" her mother (i.e. seller) during her pregnancy.

Remember, Maldonado cut off contact.  She refused to talk to him, refused any contact whatsoever.  Conspired with the adoption agency Nightlight, lawyer Godwin and the kidnappers Matt and Melanie Capobianco to keep Dusten in the dark so they could successfully sell Veronica to the Capobiancos.

Their crimes were horrendous.  A child was sacrificed and had her identity erased from her all because two entitled assholes decided they wanted her more.  Keeping her captive under the guise of "family".

Veronica Brown was forced into publicly condoned slavery.  Told to be grateful and forget about her "sperm donor".  And if there is still contact between her and her father, no doubt it was finally cut or reduced because she fought back against calling her Daddy by name and fought back calling the strange man daddy. Can you just imagine this child's confusion?  Calling out for her Daddy at night and having this stranger man come to her room, a man she no doubt sees as a monster.  The monsters who took her from her family.  Monsters who insist she is their daughter now.

Veronica Brown deserves her freedom from the slavery of forced adoption.  Deserves to be free from her kidnappers so she can go back home to her father where she belongs.

The laws were bent and even outright broken in the Capobianco's zeal to kidnap Veronica.  Justice will come.  Veronica will go home.  They need to realize that Veronica's time in their prison is short lived.  Justice will prevail and Veronica will be taken from them and returned back home.  Just because they paid top dollar for her and "want her more" does not mean they are more entitled to her than her father and family.  The Capobiancos have caused irreparable damage to Veronica.  And they will lose her.  She will go home and she will know the truth.  She was sold and kidnapped.  Sold and forced to live under a slave name.

Justice for Veronica will happen.  Keep urging the feds to investigate her adoption and all the connections the kidnappers had to take her from her family.  Make sure everyone involved in her kidnapping is held responsible.  Demand fines, prison time.  Make them pay for what they did to this little girl.

Sore Losers, Media and Misinformation

One would think when you get your ass handed to you in court, you'd go lick your wounded ego, shut up and just fade into the woodwork.  This concept is apparently lost on Kim and David Hodgin, who have taken their story national in their efforts to further spread their sob story and further demonize the father of the child they try to unrightfully call theirs.

National news chains have picked up on the story now, flaunting the clearly slanted tale as truth, misinforming millions.  Headlines boldly call the foster parents adoptive parents, refer to S as their daughter.  Comparing the Hodgin's home to the home she now resides in with her father, implying that their larger home, property and income make them the fitter parents.  Implying that her father is unfit simply because he has served time.  Not for a violent crime either.  By the logic the media outlets have put out, anyone who spent time in jail should have their kids taken and placed with a couple who has more money and things.

Here is the thing: JM never lost custody to DCS due to neglect or abuse.  He allowed a family friend to take the child to another state and from there, a series of events took place that landed S as a ward of TN state.  The Hodgins were never licensed foster parents until they got S.  And they only got licensed so they could keep her.  They used connections through the courts and the police to hold onto the child even as the father and his family fought to get her returned.

Yes, they did at one point adopt S.  They circumvented DCS and attempted a private adoption against DCS's recommendations.  They attempted to adopt a child that was NOT legally free for adoption.  The judge who finalized that adoption was a friend of theirs.  This adoption was later vacated barely a year later.  Legally, it was like it never happened.  They tried several times to terminate the father's parental rights during this fight and each time was shot down.

Some Hodgin supporters are claiming no other family had come forward or were deemed a suitable placement, but fail to mention that S's paternal grandmother had been deemed a suitable placement option and was fighting for S to be placed in her care.  The Hodgins fought against this and held up the various reunification hearings and custody transfers with appeals and whatever else they could to keep grandma away.  S's grandmother even went to TN to retrieve S and was stonewalled by the Hodgins through frivolous appeals and court hearings.

They lied to S and told her she was abandoned.  They never told her that her family had been fighting her entire life to have her brought back home.

When the adoption was vacated several years ago, the Hodgin's status reverted back to that of FOSTER PARENTS and DCS began the process of reunification.  The Hodgins were cited as being uncooperative by DCS, refusing to prepare her for the transition home or arrange counseling/therapy sessions that would prepare her for her return to her family.

In their most recent court hearing, the judge ruled S remain with her father until this is final and sorted.  Lawyers for DCS pointed out the deranged behavior of the Hodgins and their supporters.  They made their point very clear: if for any reason S is removed from her father's care, she will NOT ever go back to them.  The Hodgin's push to have S placed back with them fell on deaf ears.

So what do sore losers do?  Go to the media chains, give a one sided story to biased journalists and have an entire nation believe they had adopted a little girl through foster care because her daddy was in jail only to have her taken from them and placed with her father upon his release.  They fail to mention the fact that the adoption took place years ago and was annulled just as quick.  Fail to mention that DCS themselves fought against their attempt to adopt S.  Fail to mention that they were circumventing DCS's reunification plan and attempting to use private adoption laws.  Fail to mention that the father had been fighting to get his daughter back BEFORE his incarceration.  Fail to mention that S's paternal grandmother had also fought for placement during father's incarceration (and had been approved and given the green light to take her).

What else do sore losers do?  Lie.  They have changed their story numerous times regarding the night DCS forced them to finally hand S over.  In their media blitz, they claimed they packed three duffel bags and were given a mere moment's notice.  In other versions, they claim they only got a few hours.  Sometimes only five minutes.  Depends on who is asking, I suppose.  The issue is not the time, but the fact that they refused to comply with the orders handed down by DCS and the courts and everyone got fed up with the bullshit and said "Have her here NOW."  They made a huge scene the night they had to give her to the social workers and no doubt filled the child's head with lies in an effort to scare her and traumatize her.  They recorded a phone call between them and S mere days after leaving the Hodgin's home and this call has been aired nationwide in the foster parents' continued efforts to sway public opinion and paint the father in a bad light.  Interestingly enough, many believe this phone call with S was coached.  A disgusting and poorly put together plan that prompted DCS to bar further contact.

The Hodgins didn't do all of this alone, though.  They have Trio Solutions, Munday, Sykes, and numerous others at their beck and call.  Trio is most likely the ones responsible for the one sided information being given to the media outlets and their minions have flooded the message boards, feeding more and more into the misinformation being spread.  I think the Veronica case got Trio, Munday and the minions too confident.  Too cocky.  It's going to be epic when this is over.  S, her father and family can move on from this nightmare and maybe the Hodgins, Trio, Munday and the minions will all go down in flames.  Their actions have endangered the welfare and safety of a child who is still technically a ward of the state.  Sweet justice will be seeing the Hodgins, Trio and everyone else directly involved with helping them nailed with a lawsuit that bankrupts them.

The Free Veronica Brown Campaign (National Day of Action)

It's happening again, folks.  It's the National Day of Action.  Free Veronica Brown.

For those on the fence about the case, let me point out a few things:

- Dusten Brown fought for four years to raise his daughter.  He didn't just come in 2 yrs later and take her.  He'd been fighting since she was a few months old and it took until she was 2 for the courts to order the Capobiancos to turn her over to him.

- Custody was ordered to Dusten in September 2011, but the C's would defy that order and hold onto her an additional 3 months.  (yet we notice no charges were ever put against them for their defiance)

- The Capobiancos created a huge crowd and media frenzy the night of the transfer, giving no thought whatsoever how it would effect Veronica.

- The Capobiancos had to hire a marketing firm to sway public opinion.

- This marketing firm, Trio, was the main culprit behind most of the media reports of this case, making sure the reports were sympathetic to the kidnappers and constantly twisting things to make Dusten look like a deadbeat.

- The lawyer who represented Veronica's mother (paid for by the Capobiancos) called Veronica and her older sister, Kelsey, "illegitimate spawn".

- This same lawyer, who technically was part of the Capobianco's legal team, has personal ties to Supreme Court Justice John Roberts.

- Justice Roberts is also an adoptive parent to two children under shady circumstances.

- Trio waged a smear campaign against Veronica's father, Dusten.  They had employees swamp news articles about the case, citing exaggerated information about Dusten.  They even tried to claim he was a felon and had numerous drug charges, when in fact this was another man named Dustin Brown.  They brought up past arrears in child support that Dusten had for his older child, failing to also mention that Dusten and his ex had sorted that out.  They also tried to claim he abandoned his older child when in fact he had a very strong and positive relationship with his older daughter.

- When the fraudulent adoption was finalized and Dusten was ordered to hand Veronica over to her kidnappers, he refused.  He utilized his legal options and appealed.  The judge who finalized the adoption had also just been served with a lawsuit naming him with several others for human and civil right violations.  In retaliation of the lawsuit, the judge filed contempt of court charges against Dusten and custodial interference (funny how the Capobiancos did the same thing Dusten did and no lawsuits were ever filed against them).

- After obtaining their trophy child, the Capobiancos filed a massive lawsuit against Dusten, the Cherokee Nation and Veronica herself in the tune of a million dollars.  They named the very child they claimed they "wanted more" in a lawsuit.  If they win, they will own her completely.  She will never own the  rights to herself or her story.  Their goal is to make sure she will never be able to go against them.  It's like they now will hold copyright to her body, name and soul.

Everyone involved in the kidnapping of Veronica Brown worked together to rip this child from her father's home and also make sure Veronica herself will never have a voice. Trio and its minions have systematically scrubbed the internet of her story save for the media articles and a few blogs.  Those who support her father and her civil rights have been reported time and time again for posting her pictures.  Even pictures taken from when she was with her Daddy, pictures the kidnappers have no right to dictate.  Their goal is complete whitewash of her story and eradicate any trace of her former life from the internet.

It's a day of action, my friends.  We will not back down until Veronica Brown is home with her daddy.  The people who currently have ownership will harm her in ways we will never fully comprehend.  They will lie, manipulate and most likely drug her to keep her compliant.  They will work hard to destroy her spirit and make her as empty as they are.  Demons with human faces.  They cannot win.

Save Veronica Brown.
